Vermiculite

Palmetto vermiculite is a sterile soilless medium for seed starting and the rooting of cuttings. Available in grades A1 super fine, A2 fine-medium and A3 course.

Mixed with equal parts coconut coir and perlite, vermiculite is also a moisture-retaining component for a soilless potting medium.

When processed in special furnaces, the mineral exfoliates (or expands) in the accordion-like layered particles familiar to many as a part of soil less growing mixes.

The processed product is sterile, permanent, odorless and non-toxic, and it has the highly desirable characteristic of being lightweight and the capability of moisture and nutrient retention.

For use in seed germination, rooting cuttings, outdoor transplanting as well as bulb and tuber storage.

Each bag is approximately 4.4 cubic feet.
